Arts & Crafts: October & November

On 21st October, Sheila showed us how to make little boxes from patterned paper. The method she showed us was easy to follow and the results were pleasing. The method would be adaptable in a thicker material and in different sizes. I made three boxes for my three youngest grandchildren and put a £5 note in each and a small tin of Impeachmints. See separate photo.

On 18th November,  Elizabeth led us in an art project in which we used various media to produce a picture based on the theme of Love – in particular, how we need to love ourselves. We worked in silence for an hour (not easy) and then analysed what we had produced with Elizabeth’s guidance. An interesting experience. We are hoping to repeat this, at some time next year, with a different theme.
